Ayrshire Hospice Team Visits Scottish Parliament for Hospice Care Week

Representatives from Ayrshire Hospice were welcomed at the Scottish Parliament this week as part of national Hospice Care Week, highlighting the vital support provided to people living with life-shortening illnesses and their families.

Lynne, Director of Patient and Family Services, was joined by Susie, Lead Practitioner in Community Nursing, and Helen from the Respite and Response Team. Together, they spoke with Members of the Scottish Parliament about the hospice’s work and the challenges faced in delivering compassionate, person-centred care across Ayrshire.

The event brought together hospice professionals from across Scotland to share experiences, showcase the importance of palliative care, and celebrate the dedicated teams who provide comfort and support to individuals and families every day.
