AYRSHIRE telly viewers face an hour long blackout of broadcaster STV this Saturday
The Glasgow-based channel is pulling the plug on its main and local channels for 60 minutes as part of a drive to get more folk into sport in the wake of GB's medal laden Olympic performance.
They say the 'I am Team GB' event will see screens on all three of STV's channels go dark from 9.30am until 10.30am.
The big switch off is being organised by ITV and the National Lottery in conjunction with the British Olympics Association and UK Sport.
During the blackout, Sports clubs across Scotland the rest of the UK will open their doors to inspire people to get out and become involved in a wide range of sports, free of charge.
