BREAKING: Hunt is on for owner of million pound Lottery ticket bought in Ayrshire

THE hunt is on for Euro Millions UK millionaire who has won one million pounds and a dream holiday to America.

The lucky owner of a £1million lottery ticket that was bought in Ayrshire is yet to come forward and claim the winnings.

It's understood that players around the Kilmarnock area have been urged to double check or search for the winning ticket that's from the March 25th draw.

If the winning tickets owner doesn't come forward the winnings will be shared amongst the National Lottery's supported charities.

The winner also has until September this year to come forward and claim it.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings, this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.

" Thanks to EuroMillions Mega Friday, £1m plus a U.S. Trip of a Lifetime would certainly be an amazing introduction to the millionaire lifestyle.

"We’re urging everyone who bought a ticket in this area to check their old EuroMillions tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding, so that this prize can turn someone into the newest member of the lottery millionaire club.

“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
