Bus Strikes Will Leave Some Ayrshire Rural Communities Cutoff From Major Towns

The Stagecoach Bus Strikes which begin across Ayrshire tomorrow, daily for upto 6 weeks will leave some Ayrshire Rural communities completely Cutoff From any major town.

Areas like Drongan, Rankinston, Mossblown, Tarbolton, Kirkmichael, Dunure, Straiton & several other areas will be left with no bus services and no other affordable travel alternatives to access major towns like Ayr.
The industrial action comes after drivers voted overwhelmingly for industrial action several months ago with Stagecoach West Scotland Drivers currently the lowest paid across the UK, although talks between Unite Scotland & Stagecoach have taken place over the past few months however as yet no new deal has been proposed and tomorrow's industrial action daily for 6 weeks will take place.
Only a small handful of services will operate on a limited timetable across Ayrshire for the next 6 weeks from 9th June including services:
