Police in Ayrshire are continuing to appeal for information to assist in finding a man missing from the Kilmarnock area.
Zak Mclean (24) was last seen in Fullarton Street, Kilmarnock around 2000hrs on Wednesday 11 January 2017. He was reported missing to police on Friday 13 January.
Zak is described as 5ft 10, slim build, short black hair, brown eyes and when last seen he was wearing a black hooded jacket, navy ‘BOSS’ tracksuit trousers and blue ‘ADIDAS’ training shoes.
Inspector Kate Currie, based at Kilmarnock Police Station, said today:
“Our enquiries are continuing to trace the whereabouts of Zak Mclean. We have been analysing CCTV and conducting door to door enquiries, however, we are yet to establish that Zak is safe and well.
“There is nothing at this time to suggest that Zak has come to harm. Given that he is yet to make to contact despite our previous appeal, clearly there is rising concern for his wellbeing.
“I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to share our previous appeals across social media. On our Facebook page alone, the appeal has been shared over 1 thousand times. I would ask the local community to keep sharing our appeals and updates to help trace Zak safe and well.
“I urge anyone who has seen Zak since 2000 hrs on Wednesday 11 January or anyone who knows of his present whereabouts to contact police at Kilmarnock immediately via 101."
“I would also appeal to Zak directly. Your friends and family are anxious to hear from you. Pick up the phone and let us know that you are okay.”
