South Ayrshire Council is pleased to be celebrating 20 years of the Energy Agency activities.
The Energy Agency which supports householders, businesses and communities across south west Scotland has worked closely with the Council to introduce a number of life changing projects in the last two decades including:
Between 2013 and 2019 more than 6,500 External Wall Insulation systems were installed in homes across the region.
More than 65,000 pupils have benefited from energy efficiency lessons since the year 2000, the first pupils are now 31 years old.
Since 2008 the Energy Agency has delivered a frontline Scottish Government program, Home Energy Scotland, offering free and impartial energy-saving advice to thousands of satisfied customers.
The Energy Agency was the first centre to provide renewable energy advice to householders and businesses.
Over 7,500 people have attended 9 Home Energy Fairs since 2005.
The partnership between the Council and the Energy Agency has resulted in 11 national and international awards being won with an additional 7 Commendations.
