Cyclist made up lie about being Robbed in Ayr

Ayrshire police posted the following update via Facebook...

UPDATE, ROBBERY, RIVER WALK

Following the report of a robbery on the River Ayr walk near to Station Road in the town around 3.15pm on Friday, 17 January, detectives have carried out a thorough investigation and enquiries have concluded with no criminality established.

Chief Inspector Brian Anderson said: “No further police action is required. We would like to thank the public for their co-operation during the investigation.”
