East Ayrshire Council issue list of closed roads due to Severe Flooding

SEPA have issued a public flood warning for 2 locations in Kilmarnock – Kilmarnock Water and the River Irvine.

East Ayrshire Council, said: "We are now responding with personnel from roads, police, fire brigade, housing and social work to protect these and many other areas within East Ayrshire as the heavy rain continues. "Some local roads are affected: and have now been closed."
The roads that have been closed are as follows:
A71 Galston to Kilmarnock from derelict filling station to speed limit sign
Queens Drive A735 from junction of Wellbeck Street to Bellfield interchange
New Mill Road
McLellan Drive at junction with Dundonald Road
B7073 at Kilmarnock Prison
"We’ve opened a reception centre at Rosebank Resource Centre, next to EAC HQ on London Road and transport will be available for anyone who requires this.
