Police Appeal After Motorcyclist Dies In B730 South Ayrshire Crash

A 35-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash involving a lorry on the B730 in South Ayrshire.

The collision happened at around 9am on Friday, 26 June, 2026, near the junction with the A719 at Fail to Tarbolton.
Police said the crash involved a red Zontes ZT125 motorcycle and a black DAF lorry.
Emergency services attended, but the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The road remained closed for around 10 hours while collision investigation work was carried out, before reopening at around 7pm.
Road Policing officers in Ayrshire are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.
“Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this crash are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened to please contact us.
“In addition, anyone with dash-cam footage which may have captured anything relevant is asked to come forward.”
