Andrew Wright Glass Limited and Andrew Wright Windows Limited entered provisional liquidation on 6 August 2025, resulting in an immediate shutdown and the loss of more than 80 jobs. The acquisition includes the assets, business and goodwill of the company.

Under its new ownership, Andrew Wright will operate within the Easton Group structure but continue trading as an independent brand to maintain its identity and long-standing heritage.

The deal will also see a significant number of jobs reinstated as operations resume at the company’s factories in Irvine.

Founded in 1937, Andrew Wright manufactures and installs windows and doors across Ayrshire and the west of Scotland. Its history includes glazing Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall, serving as the main glazing contractor during the 1938 British Empire Exhibition, reglazing Belfast after the Blitz, and introducing the Stuga automated high-output cutting machine to Scotland.

Peter Easton, Director at Easton Group, said:

“Andrew Wright Windows is a name synonymous with quality and service in Scotland, and its recent collapse was a huge blow to its staff and the industry. We have been monitoring the situation closely and believe there is a strong future for the business, and our goal is to get it back on its feet as quickly as possible so we can retain and preserve its legacy.”

Fellow Director Steven Easton said:

“We see tremendous value in the Andrew Wright brand and its reputation. We are confident that with our operational expertise and investment, we can resurrect the business and drive it forward. For us, this is not just a commercial venture, it’s about preserving a vital part of Scotland’s manufacturing heritage and contributing to the local economy. Andrew Wright traded successfully for many years under family stewardship, and we are proud to return it to family ownership and help it blossom once again.”

Easton Group, founded by Kenny Easton in 1974 and now led by sons Peter and Steven, operates a diverse portfolio including residential and commercial property investments.

Their trading businesses also include Green Home Systems, an energy-efficiency specialist featured in the 2025 Sunday Times Hundred list of the UK’s fastest-growing companies and winner of the British Chambers of Commerce Planet Saver Award in 2023. The Easton brothers have additionally been recognised through the EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards and named in the LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders.
