A FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Ayrshire and Arran.
Persistent and at times heavy rain will spread across parts of central and southern Scotland on Saturday and persist through until Sunday.
This may lead to surface water flooding and flooding from small watercourses. There is also a small possibility that some larger river systems could respond on Sunday. Built up areas are at greater risk where possible impacts could include: flooding of low-lying land, roads, properties and disruption to travel.
