Fresh weather warnings issued by the Met-office as stormy weather continues to hit Ayrshire

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain for the West of Scotland.

In force on Tuesday (10/12) from 0600 till 1500.


"Heavy rain and gusty winds may lead to travel disruption.


What to expect;

Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.

Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer."

Rain, heavy at times will cross Scotland during Tuesday accompanied by strong and gusty winds. Rainfall accumulations widely 20 to 40mm locally 60mm over high ground of western Scotland. Much of the rainfall will occur in a short time period. Winds will gust widely 40 to 50mph inland with 60mph possible in coastal areas.
