Global Market to make welcome return to Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock’s Global Market is set to return to King Street and the Cross from Thursday 1 until Sunday 4 June – and this year it will open late for the first time on the Thursday to give people an opportunity to pop by after work.

Running from 10.30am – 7.30pm on Thursday, 9am – 6pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am – 4pm on Sunday, the ever popular market will see the return of some firm favourites including garden ornaments, Swarovski jewellery, Greek pies, Dutch flowers, Bratwurst grill and of course those wonderful macaroons! There will also be local producers selling a wide variety of chilli based products including balsamic dressings, oatcakes, biscuits and chocolate. Other local producers include Odyssey candles and accessories. Fiona Nicolson, Town Centre Manager, said: “The Global Market is one of the most popular events in Ayrshire and we are delighted to welcome it back once again. Due to the popularity of the seating area at the Cross which was introduced last year, we will be providing this again to let people sit and relax and enjoy their food and the entertainment. Events like this are always popular and are a good way to encourage people to experience the town centre as a place to relax and socialise.”
