Killie Community Unveils Transformed Base at The Hub

Killie Community has confirmed it is now operating from The Hub, a former gym facility that has been fully redeveloped into a modern, multi-purpose community space.

The transformation has taken place over the past two years and represents a major investment in facilities designed to better support local people. The redevelopment includes a newly fitted kitchen, upgraded bathroom facilities, and the installation of solar panels to improve sustainability and reduce environmental impact.

The building has also been adapted to support a wide range of programmes and activities. New features include a dedicated Astro room for delivering sessions, a sensory room, and purpose-built classrooms aimed at supporting learning, development, and wellbeing.

While The Hub now serves as the organisation’s base, Killie Community continues to deliver services across Ayrshire, working with communities well beyond its physical location in Kilmarnock. Programmes and outreach initiatives remain focused on supporting individuals and families throughout the region.

Representatives from the organisation said the redevelopment marks a significant step forward, strengthening their ability to provide high-quality services and create a welcoming, inclusive environment for the community.
