Man Charged with Attempted Murder Following Incident in Ayr

A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder following a serious incident in Ayr last week.

Emergency services were called to Braeside Road at around 10:00am on Tuesday, 17 June, where a 39-year-old man was found injured. He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.
Police Scotland have confirmed that the 35-year-old suspect has been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court today, Tuesday 24 June.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Ayr.
Emergency services were called to a report of a 39-year-old man found injured on Braeside Road around 10am on Tuesday, 17 June, 2025.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The 35-year-old is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Tuesday 24 June, 2025.”
