Massive tailbacks on M77 earlier this morning as emergency services attended multi-car crash

Traffic Police where left dealing with a serious crash on the northbound carriageway of the M77 which closed the motorway towards Glasgow.

The incident just north of the Fenwick on-ramp is believed to have happened around 7.20am this morning, involving at least three vehicles, including a white mini-van.

Emergency services fought their way through hundreds of vehicles to get to the scene around 7.30am this morning.

Police are asking anyone with any information in relation to the incident to call on 101.
