Mossblown's Christmas Celebrations is well underway and will be staged this Sunday, it's going to be a fantastic show. Infact, the best the village has seen after two years of running.
Joe Ippolito or (Pino) as residents of Mossblown might remember him has a close bond with the village as his mother and father Nina and Gus ran the Mace store in Station Road for 40 years.
It's for this reason Joe was only to happy to help make Christmas village celebrations happen this year and kindly donated £300 to the entertainment and light switch on.
Even now when Joe appeared at one of the Christmas events team meeting's in the Fourway's pub lots of people remembered him as a young boy and shouted his nickname "Pino".
The Mossblown Christmas team have gone from strength this year and teamed up Ayrshire Daily News and Ayr Play Events to put on the biggest and best event Mossblown has seen. This is fantastic when you think that the people behind this are members of the community and had no help from any officials in South Ayrshire.
This has been a real team spirit and effort from businesses such as Digital Kitchen's, Craig Bryson donated money and helped pull off favours from other local company's.
Drew from the Fourway's pub generously donated hundreds of pounds along with other residents to make Christmas celebrations happen this year.
A big thanks also goes out to Jimmy Kirkwood who donated £500 to the event.
A big thanks goes out to Hayes Haulage for supplying the stage and to MCD Logs for supplying the tree. It's going to be a fantastic Christmas celebration with Somerset Boab, Magic Malky, Lee James and the amazing Chloé Barnes, daughter of Angelstar band singers Marc and Cheryl Barnes.
Hosted by DJ big wow from ADN and Ayr Play what's on Ayrshire who will be creating fun and mayhem on stage we hope people from all over come and celebrate the Mossblown Christmas Celebrations.
