A local 'country Inn' will close in Ayrshire later this month as the owners behind the 'Stair Inn' announced it's closure.

Owners took to Facebook and posted the following statement:
"It is with great sadness that I have to write that we are closing Stair Inn! After three and a half years on the market, it’s clear nobody wants to buy country inns any more.
"We have been in Stair for over fifteen years and at one point we were “Scottish Inn of the Year” as voted for by customers. We would like to thank all our regulars who have supported us over the years. We would like to wish you all the best in the future."
The establishment will continue serving food up until and including the 12th October, with the door set to be locked one last time on Sunday 13th October.
Owner Dave continued on Facebook: "It was the exterior that sold it to us all these years ago. We drove around the whole of Scotland almost, looking for somewhere that we could turn in to “the perfect wee county pub” and eventually discovered Stair Inn. We set about transforming the interior which was welcomed by all our customers.
