Police appeal to trace injured man following a disturbance in Largs

Police are appealing for a man believed to have been seriously injured following a disturbance in Largs today, Sunday 24 April 2016, to contact them.

Around 0250 hours this morning, a 26 year old man sustained serious injuries following a disturbance in Rae Court, Largs. He was taken by ambulance to the Inverclyde Royal Hospital where he was treated by staff. He has since left the hospital.

Police are looking to trace a man following disturbance in Largs.

Officers are looking to trace a second man believed to be injured during the same incident.

Detective Sergeant John Deans, Saltcoats CID, said today:

“From our enquiries so far, we understand that there was a disturbance involving at least two or three people which resulted in a 26 year old man, who we have traced, being injured.

“However, from a blood trail at the scene, we know that at least one other person, another man, appears to have been quite badly injured and I would appeal to him to get medical help and contact police.

“We have had a decent response from some neighbours about what they heard or saw this morning, but would ask that anyone who has information about where the second injured man is call police.”

Information can be passed to officers at Saltcoats CID via 101 or in confidence to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
