Police appealing to help find missing man from Kilmarnock

MISSING MAN – ANDREW SIM - KILMARNOCK

Police Scotland is appealing for information to trace a missing 61 year-old man from Kilmarnock.

Andrew Sim (61) was last seen at his home on Culloden Place, Kilmarnock around 7.45 am on Thursday 18 October 2018, however could have left anytime between then and 12.30 pm.

He is described as being around 6ft, of slim build with a pale complexion. He has receding grey hair and was last seen wearing a navy jacket with a rolled up hood, dark trousers and black shoes. He also has a grey rucksack with him.

Sergeant Claire Duffy, Kilmarnock Police Office, said:

“Andrew has never been reported missing before and therefore his family are growing increasingly concerned as time passes and nobody has heard from him.

“He has left without any phone, but may have his bus pass and therefore could have travelled out of the Kilmarnock area.

“Andrew has been going through some personal issues recently and therefore we want to make sure he is okay.

“We would appeal to anyone who has seen him, or knows of his whereabouts, to come forward.

“We would also appeal to Andrew himself to get in touch with us to let us know you are okay.”

Anyone with information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 1584 of Thursday 18 October 2018.
