Police charge TWO Teenagers after serious assault in Irvine

Police Scotland can confirm that two 16-year-old male youths have been charged in connection with a serious assault in Irvine on Tuesday, 11 August, 2020.



The incident happened around 5.45pm on Gigha Crescent. A 53-year-old man suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse for treatment.


The youths will appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, 14 August, 2020. They have also been charged in connection with other acts of disorder and anti-social behaviour in the area.


A 15-year-old male youth will also be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with other acts of disorder and anti social behaviour in the area
