Prestwick Promenade Celebrations will be back on Saturday 3rd August to bring you another fabulous family fun day along Prestwick shore.

Since last year, our team of volunteers have been toiling away in the background (and down the Main Street) to bring you a great family day out at Prestwick Prom.

The fun starts with the Parade leaving Sainsbury’s at 1130, led by Greenacres Riding School, the Stagecoach open top bus with ‘Some Wummin Drummin’ who pack a mighty punch, followed by Bryson’s Vintage Cars, Ayrshire Classic Cars and the Prestwick Motorcycle Group.

We invite everyone to join in the walking/dancing/marching Parade at Boydfield Gardens at 1145 - in Fancy Dress please - Remember we’re going for a fun Western Theme this year!

Our Provost officially opens the Prestwick Prom at 12.30 along with her regal assistants, the Prom Prince and Princess.

Our 50 stalls sold out in record time this year, so come and browse - there’s something for everyone.

Entertainment & laughs galore as always on the Main Stage from our very own Magic Malky & friends; jig along with the dancers from Fiona Young Zumbettes and family favourite, the Dinosaur Invasion returns with a new guest - watch out for the Polar Bear Oso!!! *

Throughout the day, there will be a dedicated section for the Fun Dog Show & Have A Go Agility Ring.

There’s the roaring fun of Codona’s Fun Fair; a Putting Competition at Beach & Putt; Historical Re-enactments from Dad’s Army and the Swords of Dalriada; Fire Engines; Horse Rides and more.

For the first year ever – the Official Prom 80s/90s Disco will be at the Parkstone Hotel, prize for best dressed and all proceeds right back in to next year’s festival. Boogie on down from 7pm until 1230am, Tickets £10 from: The Barbour Shop (119 Main Street), Beehive, Emporium, Keeking Glass, Luna & Wild Wood.

We must thank our sponsors Ayrshire Media Services, Brysons Car Centre, Caledonian Windows, Slater Menswear Ayr, Stagecoach, The 65 Club, ZEMCH Network and all those who have rallied round to help us.

Including a huge thank you also, for the assistance provided by New Life Church, Police Scotland & South Ayrshire Council - Your generous support is invaluable and we could not make the Prom Day happen without you.

Our Committee Members will be on site to assist, along with Stewards from the New Life Church.

Come along and bring all the family to Prestwick’s Family Fun Day.

See you on Saturday 3rd August.

Yee Haa!!

Keep updated on all things local
