The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, as part of its ongoing programme to improve the condition of the road network, will be carrying out essential road resurfacing works on the B741 Dalmellington to New Cumnock road.

The works, which will start on Monday 13 February, will take place for up to ten working days between the new substation access road near Beoch to Dalmellington.
To carry out these works safely and efficiently and to protect the roads operatives and the travelling public the affected section, which is approximately 4km long, will have to close.
The B741 will be closed Monday to Friday 7am until 6pm. The road will re-open each night and at weekends.
A diversion route will be signed via the B741 to Gateside Road, Dalmellington to A713, to B742 to A70 at Coylton to A76 at Cumnock to New Cumnock before re-joining the B741 and vice versa.
The works are weather dependant and may be delayed at times due to adverse weather conditions, work will continue on the next available day.
Please allow sufficient time when planning your journey on these dates. Advisory signs will be erected in advance of the works to alert the travelling public.
The Ayrshire Roads Alliance apologises for any inconvenience caused during these essential road works
