The Roundhouse Takeaway and Osprey Lounge at Loch Doon has reopened following a period of closure.

The venue has undergone several weeks of refurbishment and investment and reopened to the public on 4 July 2025. It will initially operate Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 3pm, with plans to extend to seven days a week in the near future.
The Roundhouse is a key osprey viewing area and provides access to live footage from the active osprey nest at Loch Doon. Ospreys have been nesting at the site since 2012 and have successfully reared 18 chicks during that time.
This year, the returning pair, Franky and Angel, have reared two chicks, Gizmo & Bonnie.
East Ayrshire Leisure will have a member of its outdoor team on-site seven days a week to provide information about the ospreys, local wildlife, and the surrounding area.
