Aviation enthusiasts are set to benefit from more seats on trains this weekend when the International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight lands on Ayr Shorefront.

The two-day festival on Friday, 5 and Saturday, 6 September, sees the return of the world-famous Red Arrows, alongside an exciting programme of aerial displays and family entertainment.
ScotRail will be using extra carriages between Glasgow Central and Ayr helping thousands of people travel to and from the Airshow and the final weekend of the Largs Viking Festival.
They will also operate additional services before and after the show on Saturday, 6 September, providing more seats for customers attending one of Ayrshire’s biggest annual events.
Customers travelling to and from the Largs Viking Festival on Saturday, 6 September, should be aware that they will need to change trains at Kilwinning to complete their journey to and from Largs.
Please plan your journey in advance, buy tickets before they travel via the ScotRail app, website, or at station facilities, and to allow extra time for travel as services will be busy.
