South Ayrshire Council will be providing financial support for local residents who have been financially affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The funding is intended to help people who have less money, are worried about their jobs, or are facing redundancy because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In response to the pandemic, the council’s Information and Advice Team are offering a free, impartial and confidential information and advice service.
The council’s advisors are fully trained to deal with resident’s welfare rights and money and debt problems. The advisors can help individuals to maximise their income, check that they are applying for the right benefits and help to appeal a DWP benefit decision.
The service can also help individuals who are struggling with debt to find a debt solution which is suited to personal circumstances.

The council’s information and advice team and its employability and skills team are working in partnership with Skills Development Scotland as part of the Partnership Action for Continuing Employment initiative – PACE.
The PACE service is dedicated to providing individuals with the advice and guidance which may be needed if someone is made redundant or facing redundancy.
