Ross Doohan has tonight penned a new one year deal, on loan from Celtic, for the 2019/20 season.
Manager Ian McCall said:
”Obviously this was a deal I knew I wanted to happen from early last season. Ross integrated himself to Ayr United and he was an absolute credit to himself, his family and to Celtic Football Club. “He still has improvement in him but considering last season was his first full season as a number one his performances were remarkable for a young goalkeeper.“ “We are delighted to get the deal over the line and Ross will go straight into the squad for tomorrows game.”
Ross played 47 times for the club last season and quickly established himself as a fans favourite. He also came very close to beating the clubs long standing shut out record with 20 over the course of the season. He won every fans Young Player award at the end of season Player of the Year event. Ross goes straight into the squad for tomorrows Betfred Cup opener at Berwick.
