Sun Shines for Strawberry Tea at Hansel

It was a glorious day at Hansel, Symington on Saturday 18 th May where over 65 people

gathered to enjoy their annual Strawberry Tea.


Alyson Reid, Hansel’s Employment, Education and Catering Team Lead told us that & we

enjoyed a fabulous day on Saturday at Lindys Strawberry Tea event.


Over 65 people attended, having lunch at Lindy's before being treated to a demonstration on planting a hanging basket.


Our Lindys team and Grounds Maintenance team worked closely together

to ensure everything on the day ran smoothly. We had a raffle, and quiz and guests were kept

entertained learning about how to encourage nature into their garden. Thank you to all who

attended, we’re already looking forward to next year’s event!


Lindy Tearoom and the Grounds Maintenance team are part of the Hansel social enterprise

business, Hansel, which seeks to develop opportunities for people who want to work

through a number of routes including Employability and volunteering programmes, supported

businesses, and Education and Enterprise programmes.
