The Isle of Arran Candle Company is proud to announce the opening of its brand-new retail shop in Brodick, bringing handcrafted candles, luxurious home fragrances, and curated gifts to a thoughtfully restored space in one of the village’s most recognisable buildings.

The new store is housed in the former bank building, just a short stroll from the ferry terminal. Carefully renovated, the space offers visitors a unique and welcoming environment to explore the scents and spirit of the island.
Visitors will discover a full range of hand-poured candles and reed diffuser made on Arran, including bestselling fragrances such as:
Munadh: Heather Hills – A delicate blend that evokes the calming essence of Arran's heather-clad hills, transporting you to the island's peaceful highlands.
Cuan-ard: Stormy Seas – A bold and invigorating scent that captures the wild, untamed energy of Arran’s coastline during a powerful storm.
Cladach: Shore – A fresh and breezy aroma, reminiscent of walks along Arran’s rugged shores, with hints of sea breeze and coastal flora.
All candles are made using plant-based waxes, sustainable materials, and recyclable sea-glass inspired glass jars—crafted with care and a deep connection to the island.
In addition to candles, the shop features a curated selection of luxury homeware and island-inspired gifts, designed to complement the fragrance collection and elevate the everyday home experience.
Co-founders Daniel & Vik Steel, said:
“Opening the shop looking out across Brodick Bay to Goatfell feels like the perfect way to connect people to the scents of Arran. We’ve brought together the landscapes we love, the fragrances we make, and the kind of thoughtful, well-made products we believe in—all under one roof.”
“This is more than just a candle shop—it’s a space to slow down, reconnect, and take a little piece of Arran home. We’ve carefully chosen gifts and homeware to complement our scents and create a complete sensory experience.”
Sheila Gilmore, CEO of VisitArran, shared:
“It’s always exciting to see an Arran business grow, especially when it reflects the character and creativity of the island so beautifully. This new shop will be a lovely stop for visitors and locals alike.”
