NHS Ayrshire Arran will be welcoming patients aged 65 to 79 years to our local mass vaccination centres from Monday 1 February.

Over the course of February and throughout the Spring, vaccination clinics will
be timetabled to run at 38 different community locations across East, North and South
Ayrshire.
A vaccination appointment is an essential reason to leave your home during the
current heightened COVID-19 restrictions. We are asking patients to arrive for vaccination, with their appointment letter, as close to their allocated time as possible. Where possible we advise that you avoid car sharing with anyone out with your household but if this is not possible please try and:
Keep your distance and take care of entering and exiting the vehicle.
Sit as far apart as possible in the vehicle, avoiding face-to-face interaction.
Maintain good ventilation by keeping the car windows open.
If this is not possible due, for example to inclement weather, make sure your air conditioning is not just set to recirculation, so that it draws in the fresh air.
Wear a face covering, unless you are exempt.
Clean/disinfect your hands before and after your journey.
If the vehicle is your responsibility, clean the door handles and other areas that people touch.
If the easiest way to travel to the vaccination centre given on your appointment letter
is by public transport you can use the Traveline Scotland website to plan your
journey and get information on using public transport safely. Click here to visit the
Traveline Scotland website.
Alternatively, you can call the 24 hour Traveline helpline
for transport advice on 0141 465 1878.
There are also Dial-a-Bus services run by SPT that may be suitable for your journey.
