Police Scotland is seeking the assistance of the public and the media to help trace a 31 year-old woman missing since Monday 7 August 2017.

Leanne Cousins (31) was last seen by a family member at her home in Farmfield Terrace in West Kilbride around 1700 hours on Monday 7 August 2017. She left her home and got into a white Fiat Ducato Campervan, registration YN53 WUV, and drove off.

She failed to return home that evening and the only other contact came via a phone call to her sister around 2045 hrs that night.

She is described as around 5ft 4 inches in height with a slim build and brown wavy hair. She was wearing a blue, zipped jacket, jeans and white trainers.

Her family has grown increasingly concerned and reported her missing to police last night, Tuesday 8 August 2017.

Enquiries carried out so far have indicated that Leanne may be in the Stirling area and officers have been visiting several campsites in an effort to locate her. However, all attempts to find her have so far proved unsuccessful.

Inspector Christine Boyd said:

“It is out of character for Leanne to leave and not be in touch with her family. The fact that Leanne has recently been dealing with some personal issues and the fact that there has been no contact since Monday evening is giving us cause for concern. Her family is extremely worried and just want to know she is safe and well. I would ask anyone who has seen Leanne or has seen the Fiat Ducato Campervan to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Irvine Police Station via 101, quoting reference number 3519 of 8 August 2017.
