A NUMBER of people have been taken to Ayr and Crosshouse Hospitals for treatment, where the condition of the people involved is unknown after a part of the 'carriage' on the most famous and popular ride the 'Move It' had fallen off.
A number of emergency services attended the scene and this incident is still on-going.
Speaking to eye-witnesses they said: "A part of the seating on the ride has came flying off onto the queuing barriers and some people were jammed underneath it."
Police Scotland made a statement tonight saying: Around 9.30pm on Saturday 3 September 2016, police received a report of an incident involving a ride on grounds near to Ayr Race Course.
"Emergency services are in attendance and a number of people have been taken to Ayr and Crosshouse Hospitals for treatment.Enquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101."
