Wetherspoon Confirm all Ayrshire Pubs Will Reopen Next Month

Pub giant Wetherspoon have confirmed that all six of its Ayrshire pubs will re-open from 26th April when restrictions are eased.

The pubs will re-open for alcohol outdoors until 10pm and for meals and soft drinks inside until 8pm.


Wetherspoon’s regional manager for Scotland, Helen Dumbreck, said:

“We are looking forward to welcoming both customers and staff back to our pubs.


“Our pubs play an important part in the social life of their respective towns and cities and it is great news that they will be able to reopen soon.


“Each of our pubs will observe all the necessary safety rules around Covid-19.”


The six Ayrshire Wetherspoons are:


South Ayrshire:

The West Kirk, Ayr

The Prestwick Pioneer, Prestwick


North Ayrshire:

The Auld Brig, Irvine

The Paddle Steamer, Largs

The Salt Cot, Saltcoats


East Ayrshire:

The Wheatsheaf Inn, Kilmarnock
