Whitletts Victoria announce the signing of midfielder Mbanje Munyaradzi

Whitletts Victoria are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Mbanje Munyaradzi.

The 20 year Zimbabwean, spent 3 years with Leeds United youth development programme, joining the Elland Road club in April 2013.

There he played for the Championship sides' under 18 and 21 sides and also gained international recognition, playing for the Zimbabwe under 23 side in a friendly against Morocco in November 2014.

However he has been out of the game for over a year after a brief spell with Queens' Park came to an end last summer after Mbanje moved to Scotland to attend further education.

He played a game for Vics against Ardeer last season and again as a trialist in the midweek match against Girvan and his performances have persuaded manager Neil Duffy to offer him a contract.

"Having been out the game for over a year he currently lacks match fitness but that will come and you can see that he has the potential to be a really special player at this level."

"I fully expect him to get better with every match and training session as he has a natural talent to play the game and has the ability to play in a variety of positions in midfield and upfront."
