Wired for Success as Local Business Reaches Five-Year Milestone

A local electrical services company is celebrating a major milestone this week, marking five successful years since its launch.

Founded by Neil Claxton in 2020 after leaving a job with a large nationwide firm, the business began with just a small red van and the determination to go it alone. Five years on, it has grown into a trusted name in Ayrshire, employing a dedicated team and serving a loyal base of clients.

Reflecting on the journey, Neil said: “It genuinely feels like it wasn’t that long ago I left my job to be my own boss. I honestly can’t believe we have come this far. I’ve seen many companies come and go in our short five years, but looking back I’m immensely proud of how far we’ve come.”

Neil credits much of that success to his team, giving special thanks to “the three Ds” – Davie, Dan, and Dawn – described as the company’s core. He also acknowledged the many electricians who have been part of the journey, some of whom still return to lend a hand.

Loyal clients have also played a key role. “You guys have never lost trust and never been tempted to go elsewhere. Every one of you, thank you!” Neil said. Word-of-mouth recommendations have helped the business grow too, bringing in new customers who value the company’s one-stop, seamless service.

Looking ahead, the company shows no sign of slowing down. A new team member joins next month, with more recruitment already underway. Staff welfare remains central to the business, with private healthcare provided for employees – a reflection of Neil’s commitment to supporting not just his team, but their families too.

As the business enters its sixth year, Neil says the journey is far from over: “It’s not just my family but the families of our staff I am constantly thinking about. We aren’t stopping.”
