“Although the road is a country road, it’s only a couple of miles long and is on the outskirts of Ayr and near to the village of Mossblown. At this time of night, it can be relatively busy and indeed, a number of people did stop to assist following the crash, however, we would appeal to anyone who saw the crash and who has not yet spoken to police, to get in touch.

“If you saw the crash, the vehicles prior to the crash or have any information that will assist officers with their investigation, then please contact Irvine Road Policing Department on 101 quoting incident number 3012 of 16/12/17."
