Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential maintenance on the A77, south of Sandyford Roundabout from Thursday 17th June until Saturday 19th June 2021, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night.
This scheme, with a value of £30,000, will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
The work will be carried out under a southbound carriageway closure at this location with a signed diversion route in operation.
A77 southbound traffic will be diverted via Dutchhouse Roundabout and will take the third exit onto the A78. At Monktonhead Roundabout, traffic will take the second exit to join the A79 and at the following roundabout will take the third exit to continue on the A79. Traffic will proceed through Prestwick onto Ayr Road and will be directed to take a left turn onto the B743, Heathfield Road. From here, traffic will take the third exit at Whitletts Roundabout to re-join the A77 southbound and diversion will end.
A77 northbound traffic will not be affected.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
