Appeal to trace 79-year-old Irene Kerr last seen in Ayr

Officers in Ayr are appealing for information to help trace 79-year-old Irene Kerr.

Irene was last seen around 1.10pm on Wednesday, 24 September, 2025 in the town centre near to Ayr Central.

She is described as medium build, light brown shoulder length hair. She was wearing blue trousers, blue jacket, dark trainers with a white sole. She was carrying at dark handbag.

Sergeant Stacey McMurray said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Irene. She has connections to the Lugton area of Ayrshire and may have travelled there.

“Anyone with any information as to her whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2199 of 24 September, 2025.”
