A survey was held seeking opinions on the current housing provision on the island as well as future aspirations.
Following the closing date, more than 600 responses were received including more than 450 submitted by islanders – meaning one in five households on the island had their say.
The survey was open to home owners and tenants, landlords, second home owners, business owners and anyone living and working on the island – and even those considering moving to Arran.
The survey results will now be analysed and a report produced in the near future.
North Ayrshire Council established the Housing Taskforce in 2023, involving a wide range of partners, to assess the demand for affordable housing on Arran and identify issues that may be limiting economic sustainability and growth.
