Boris Jonson's comments on the closing of the Coal Mine's across Ayrshire has hit sour across Ayrshire with local MSP Elena Whitham calling PM Boris Johnson a "Bumbling Buffoon" after laughing & Joking about the past PM Margaret Thatcher closing Coal Mines across Ayrshire.
Boris said the closures provided “a big easy start” In a virtual media call with Scottish journalists, he also chuckled when talking about the pit closures which devastated mining communities across Scotland and the UK.
Community’s like Patna were left devastated when the Coal mines closed leaving hundreds without jobs and a decline in local communities.
MSP For Carrick, Cumnock & Doon Valley, Elena Whitham Said on Facebook this Evening:
"I am actually aghast at this bumbling buffoon of a Prime Minister. There is nothing to joke about when it comes to the communities in my constituency & across Scotland who were left devastated by Thatcher & her reckless decisions."
"Those scars run deep There was nothing just about what happened."
"Boris Johnson must apologize now."
FM Nicola Sturgeon Also Tweeted:
"Lives & communities in Scotland were utterly devastated by Thatcher’s destruction of the coal industry (which had zero to do with any concern she had for the planet). To treat that as something to laugh about is crass & deeply insensitive to that reality."
