Lido Troon has been awarded £500 for the charity of its choice after achieving top marks against fellow Buzzworks venues.
The Troon café, bar and restaurant is on a winning streak as it scores top of the table in various categories including sales, customer service and cleanliness for a second consecutive quarter.
Kind hearted staff at the Troon venue have chosen Raise for Rebecca to receive the funds. The crowdfunding cause is aiming to raise £140,000 to fund lifesaving treatment for Rebecca McKenna, a three year old from Erskine who has been diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma.
The money donated is part of the pro-social bonus scheme at Buzzworks – a unique quarterly scheme which sees the four best performing venues of each quarter winning a share of £1,000 to gift to any registered charity or good cause of their choice.
The pro-social bonus scheme was designed as an incentive for all venue teams and to help provide a boost to local causes and charities of their choosing.
The latest winners have been crowned for this quarter which includes Lido Troon, The Corner House in Kilwinning, The Mill House in Stewarton and Scotts in Largs.
The Corner House came second and donated its winning £250 to Chloe’s Chemoo Cows, a charity which aims to brighten the lives of children with cancer.
Third place was awarded to The Mill House who picked Dunlop and Lugton Community Council, to gift its £150. Lastly Scotts Largs donated its £100 bonus to Largs Lifeboat RNLI.
Kenny Blair, Buzzworks Holdings MD, said: “Our pro-social bonus has proven popular since launching last year and instils healthy competition in our venues that ultimately benefits local causes.
“Congratulations to Lido Troon for claiming first place once again this quarter, and to our other top performing venues.”
