Tragic Emma Faulds from Kilmarnock who was found murdered after being last seen in Monkton will be laid to rest tomorrow afternoon.
Emma Faulds, 39 was originally last seen in Monkton South Ayrshire with police issuing a missing person appeal however 2 months after going missing Police Scotland found Emma's Body in the Galloway forrest after an extensive search of the area including the A714 from Girvan.
Emma's funeral will take place tomorrow at 2pm in the New Laigh Kirk followed by a brief service at Holmsford Bridge Crematorium in Dreghorn at 3:30pm, however people are being asked to give plenty of time between New Laigh and Dreghorn due the the high volume of people planning to attend.
Emma's family have said that Emma wasn't one for living in the dark and anyone planning to attend the funeral should wear bright colours to match her bright and bubbly personality.
People from across Ayrshire are also being urged to light a candle tomorrow evening in highlight of Emma's memory and that she will always be in our hearts.
East Ayrshire Council issued the following:
"Two floors of the multi-storey in Kilmarnock will be reserved tomorrow for mourners attending the funeral of Emma Faulds."
"Please make our parking attendants aware that you are attending the funeral and they will assist you."
"Our thoughts are with Emma’s family and friends at this very difficult time."
