Bargain hunters are in for a treat as retail giant Home Bargains are set to open shop tomorrow at the busy Heathfield Retail Park in Ayr.

Creating 70 jobs and opening in the former Homebase unit, the new Home Bargains boasts over 10,000 lines of product within the store and an outdoor Garden World.
We got to check out the new store as staff were putting the final touches to the packed shelves.
Speaking with the store manager, Chris Lynn, he said:
"I’ve been in retail for 24 years and I’m very excited to be a part of opening this huge store in Ayr. Clearly the customers are very excited too and the range we have is absolutely huge.
"I feel it is good to bring something back to Ayr and will help it retain its sense of community. The staff have been outstanding. They have gone above and beyond to get things open and looking as good as it does.
"The shop itself is huge, pristine and immaculate. We have recruited over 70 staff from the local area from all walks of life and so far they, like myself are loving every minute. Long May it continue.

"Home Bargains as a company is outstanding. I joined them in August as a store manager and as I mentioned before, having been in retail for a long time, I’m used to having hectic Christmas periods. However the company have decided to close their stores on Boxing Day and give the staff some much needed time with their families over the festive period.
"We as a team are so grateful for this. They really do recognise their staff. It’s a great family run wholesome value for money company. I can’t speak highly enough of them."
The new gigantic store includes a garden centre, Christmas gifts, home styles, health and beauty, pet, cleaning, perfumes, lots of toys for Christmas, stationery, fruit & veg, chilled and frozen products, morning goods (to create that perfect sandwich), alcohol and much more.
Here are some exclusive photos of inside the store - set to open at 9 am tomorrow.
