Girl rescued by emergency services after she falls into River Ayr

A GIRL was rescued from the River Ayr today after she had fallen into the water just next to Ayr College.

Emergency services were called our at around 2pm in the afternoon after reports of a girl in the water.

It's believed that a man followed shortly after to help rescue the girl, she is believed to have been a teenager.

The teen was taken to Crosshouse Hospital where the condition is left unknown at this moment in time.
