Girvan Lifeboat launched to help search for a vulnerable missing person

At approx 11:38am Girvan lifeboats volunteer crew were paged to assist UK Coastguard and Police Scotland in a search for a vulnerable missing person.

Girvan lifeboat made best speed to the location and carried out a sea based coastline search, Local Coastguard rescue teams completed a shore based search and Police Scotland continued their enquiries, the casualty was located safe and well and all assets were stood down and returned to base.

Girvan lifeboat returned to Girvan at 13:05 and was refuelled, washed and made ready for the next service call. No further details will be released.
