Irvine Rivergate shopping centre evacuated after false alarm

The popular Irvine shopping Centre was evacuated this afternoon after the fire alarm sounded.

The evacuation was part of the routine procedure if and when the alarm sounds. It was found the be a false alarm. The Centre was evacuated for around 10 minutes before everyone was allowed to re-enter.
