There’s still time to sign up for the Land O’ Burns Starlight Walk, sponsored by Ayr Audi, and be part of the Ayrshire Hospice’s biggest charity fundraiser on Saturday 18th May 2019.
Over the last 10 years, Starlight Walk has brought together thousands of amazing Ayrshire Hospice supporters to stomp the streets of Ayr and raise thousands upon thousands of pounds for a fantastic cause.
The Land O’ Burns Starlight Walk can be completed over either the 4, 9, or 13-mile routes and for it’s 11th year the hospice team are changing it up and introducing Prestwick into the route!
Senior Fundraising Officer Graeme Strawhorn said: “After 10 years walking through the streets of Ayr, we’ve decided to change it up a little bit and the Starlight Walk will include Prestwick for the first time ever.
“The Starlight Walk has been one of best supported events over the last ten years and we hope 2019 will be no different as we celebrate our 30th anniversary and hope for our biggest turnout yet from the fantastic people of East, North and South Ayrshire.
“The money raised from our Starlight Walk allows the hospice to continue to provide exceptional palliative and end of life care to those with a life-limiting illness right across Ayrshire and Arran.”
Ian Struthers, Head of Business, Ayr Audi, is delighted to be continuing their support of The Land O’ Burns Starlight Walk.
He said: “The Ayrshire Hospice is a great local charity and Ayr Audi is delighted to sponsor the event for a third year and support the hospice in their fundraising activity for 2019.
“The Ayr Audi team are already getting their training in to take part in the 13mile circuit and are looking forward to seeing as many hospice supporters as possible on the night.”
