It was a colourful and exciting day as the girls turned up in style for the Ayr Racecourse opening Ladies Day.
Ayrshire Daily News were broadcasting live from the races today as we partnered with Mercure Hotels.
With their own Marquee tent and bookmaker, all 80 guests from 6 other Mercure Hotels around the country had a fabulous time.
Our live videos included Scot-Rock who put on an excellent entrance show to guest arriving at the event.
Once again, Ayr Racecourse out-did themselves with an outstanding day of Entertainment and Hospitality.
It was revealed on Wednesday that Saturday's main grand national is a total sell out with 17,000 tickets sold.
Ayr Racecourse Managing Director David Brown said: "We are absolutely delighted to sell out a few days in advance. It shows the popularity of this meeting - Scotland's biggest and richest jumps race day.
"We are looking forward to welcoming a bumper crowd who will see some top racing with virtually all of the major stables in the UK and Ireland likely to be represented and of course we also have the battle for the British Trainers Championship between Willie Mullins and Paul Nicholls being played out adding to the occasion."
It is the second year that tickets have hit capacity for the Saturday meeting out of the two - with last years final tickets being sold an hour before the first race.
Ayr Racecourse released it's best dressed for the Ladies Competition who can be seen pictured below.
