A 32 year old man has been arrested and charged by police in South Ayrshire following reports of numerous attempted break-ins and thefts from properties in the Girvan area.
The man appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court and has been remanded in custody.
John Hamilton, Communities Inspector for the Carrick Locality Policing Teams, said “Thanks to assistance from members of the public and the timely reports of alleged offences to police, officers were able to identify and arrest the man involved”.
“We will continue to work with local people and our partners to reduce the impact of crime on the community - only by working together will we make South Ayrshire safer”.
“I would encourage anyone with information on crime in their area to contact their local policing team by calling 101 or to pass information anonymously by calling CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111”.
