Man dies as he is struck by Train at Maybole Station

A man has died after being struck by a Train at Maybole Railway Station during the weekend. 

A statement from the Transport Police said:

"We were called to Maybole railway station in Scotland on Saturday, 10 December following reports of a person struck by a train.

"The call came into police at 8.44am.

"Officers attended the scene alongside paramedics. Sadly a 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"His family have been informed of his death.

"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
